March 15th, 2016

The goal was to achieve the universal antenna covering all available LTE bands being used by the mobile operators, so LTE700 (in development), LTE800, LTE1800, LTE2100, LTE2300 and LTE2600.

According to the Cisco forecast, the expected data traffic will increase few times during coming years. Increased data traffic requires ne  w frequencies for the new channels for LTE (Long Term Evolution). LTE1800 is just not sufficient to deliver expected throughput. European Commission decided to share more bands for the Internet. The most perspective band is LTE700/LTE800, from the digital dividends (694-862MHz). Also available LTE2100, LTE2300, LTE2600.

The goal was to achieve the universal antenna covering all available LTE bands being used by the mobile operators, so LTE700 (in development), LTE800, LTE1800, LTE2100, LTE2300 and LTE2600. The solution is based on the known WiBOX Medium enclosure by Wireless Instruments. It’s IP67 outdooe UV protected BOX offering the space for electronic equipment installation.

The MIMO2x2 antenna by Wireless Instruments has 8 dBi gain and operates in the frequencies 700-960 MHz and 1700-2700 MHz, with the beamwidth of 70 deg in both polarizations (the detailed information are under the link WiBOX PA MMB0727-8X

The final product is offered in two versions:

I.    For the operators offering own modem installed indoor or in the separated outdoor box. This antenna comes with No. 2 N Female connectors.
