Wireless Instruments Ltd. has been asked for preparing special MIMO 6x6 antennas for Meru OAP832e with parameters specified by the customer.
1. MIMO 3x3 antennas for 2,4 and the second kit for 5 GHz.
2. Polarizations VHV for both frequencies.
3. Antenna for outdoor usage.
4. Gains on the level around 8 dBi in both polarizations.
5. Antenna should come with Nfemale outdoor connectors.
6. Beamwidth 60-70 deg.
Currently Fortinet (formerly Meru) OAP 832e is 802.11ac, Dual-radio, Three-stream Wi-Fi Outdoor Access Point. As the producer informes: “The OAP832e is an 802.11ac outdoor access point (AP) capable of supporting a variety of external antennas. Designed for high-density deployments such as stadiums, arenas, university campuses, hospitals, convention centers, and warehouses. The OAP832e supports an aggregate 1.75 Gbps data rate for demanding business applications like video and voice.” – official Fortinet Datasheet -> http://www.fortinet.com/sites/default/files/productdatasheets/OAP832.pdf
The final specification meets the requuirement, we achieve higher gain than requested. The system is based on the WiBOX Medium, which is designed to be integrated with the metal back plate, where are the connectors are located.
The whole antenna is equipped with the WiMount mounting system.
