There is one important thing to get the best performances using WiBOX M5-24HV antennas and another designs utilizing such a wide surface of antenna PCB. Duo to different type of feeding the antenna, the gains on orthogonal polarizations are slight different. The difference is 1 dB +/- 0,5 dB. To identify the stronger polarization we marked the connectors as PORT1 (stronger) and PORT2.

To get the best performances on the link use the same antenna setting in the same antenna chain. For example, if antennas are align in the same position of the connectors, one chain will be weaker. If you are going to have the same performances on both chains, you need to rotate one antenna of 90 degrees to meet PORT1 (on the first antenna) and PORT2 (on the other one).

On WiBOX antennas you don’t need to unscrew the antenna to see the antenna real position, because there is the polarization indicator on the front shield. The polarization indicator being in vertical position informs about PORT1 in vertical polarization and PORT2 in horizontal. See it on the Pic. 1.
